Family
In the mist of making a very big professional decision at work, I was once asked what the most important priority in my life is. Without hesitation I said it was to raise kind humans, (I think the question was intended to mean work priorities). I can fail at everything else as long as I succeed at that. And those tiny humans change so quickly, it is so important to capture moments in time that instantly bring you back to that little voice, that mischievous smile, that happy little soul discovering the world.
Photographing families, especially with young children, can be quite the session. Instead of trying to pose young children which can be difficult, I try to let them enjoy the park or wherever we may be, and photograph them in their natural state of exploration and wonder. Candid photos show the truest emotions, especially in children. The goal is to capture that twinkle in their eye.
